School holidays are over and school zones are back in operation throughout Subiaco.

Time to pack the lunch boxes, dig out the uniforms and dust off the school bags after a long hot summer!

Road signs throughout Subiaco improve the visibility of school zones. Take note of 40km school zones which are in operation on Hay Street Jolimont, Intersection of Bagot Road/Rokeby Road and the Intersection of Onslow/Derby Road.

These 40km/h school zones are in place to help protect children on their way to and from schools.
This lower speed limit reduces the risk and potential severity of a crash.

School zones are in operations from 7.30am – 9am and 2.30pm – 4pm so drive carefully and remember, Please slow down!


  • The default speed limit is 50 km/h.
  • if speed signs are not displayed on all roads in built-up areas the default speed limit is always in effect.
